Ice Cube

A band divided into small gold cubes with chamfered edges, so light breaks across it like ice.

The same year, 1999, produced both bands. Bulgari's B.zero1 spirals up the finger like the tiers of the Colosseum, held between rims engraved with the house name; Chopard's Ice Cube divides its band into small chamfered cubes, a design the house describes as androgynous. Both now run from plain gold to ceramic and pavé. The difference is in the profile: B.zero1 climbs, in one to five tiers, while Ice Cube stays low and leaves the stacking to several thin bands.
