Divas' Dream

A fan, taken from the ginkgo-leaf pattern in the floor mosaics of Rome's Baths of Caracalla, worn as a pendant, an earring or a ring.

Lunaria

Marco Bicego

Lunaria

Flat, rounded petals modelled on the papery, moon-like seed pods of the honesty plant, in gold, diamond pavé or thin slices of mother-of-pearl and coloured stone.

Mother-of-pearl turns up in both, cut thin. Bulgari inlays it in the fan of Divas' Dream, a shape taken in 2016 from the ginkgo pattern in the mosaics of Rome's Baths of Caracalla, alongside malachite and pavé. Marco Bicego slices it, grey as well as white, into the rounded petals of Lunaria, whose outline follows the translucent seed discs of the honesty plant. The Roman shape arrives through stone; the Vicenza one comes straight from the field.
