Chopard

Precious Lace

Diamonds set in scalloped gold openwork that reads like antique lace, cut into tutu ruffles, waves and hearts.

Margherita

Damiani

Margherita

A daisy, margherita in Italian, set in diamonds and named for the queen whose name it shares.

Lace, not leaves, gives Chopard its flower. Precious Lace, presented as high jewelry in 2016, sets diamonds into scalloped gold openwork with the volutes of old needlework, cut into ruffles, waves and hearts. Damiani's Margherita is plainer and older in idea: a daisy in diamonds and white gold, traced to the jewel Enrico Grassi Damiani designed for Margherita of Savoy in the 1920s. Geneva follows a dressmaker; Valenza follows a queen and her namesake flower.
