Piaget Rose

A rose in layered gold petals, modelled on the 80-petal rose named after Yves Piaget, with a diamond at its heart.

A person's name hangs on each flower. The rose that Meilland bred and named for Yves Piaget won in Geneva in 1982, and Piaget turned its 80 petals into Piaget Rose in 2012, layered in rose gold and sometimes paved. Margherita is named for a queen, Margherita of Savoy, whose name is also the Italian word for daisy; Enrico Grassi Damiani designed her a jewel in the 1920s. The rose is cupped and sculptural, the daisy flat and diamond-white.
