Margherita

A daisy, margherita in Italian, set in diamonds and named for the queen whose name it shares.

Bouton d'or

Little discs of gold, each with a stone at its centre, massed in rows and rings like the head of a buttercup.

Buttercup and daisy, two meadow flowers, in opposite metals. Van Cleef & Arpels builds Bouton d'or from polished yellow-gold discs, each with a stone at its centre, massed in rows and rings; the motif dates from 1936 and returned in 2016. Damiani's Margherita is a white flower in diamonds and white gold, with a royal namesake in Margherita of Savoy. Against the buttercup's glint of 1930s sequins, the daisy is all white light.
