Lily Cluster

Interlacing petals of small pavé-set round diamonds, accented with a single marquise, form a lily caught mid-bloom.

Le Petit Cactus

The flower of the vanilla cactus, which opens for one night a year, made as a small burst of rose gold stamens around a single stone.

The instant of opening is what Le Petit Cactus and Lily Cluster share. Laure-Isabelle Mellerio's 2019 design honours a bloom that lasts a single night, the vanilla cactus Redouté painted for Marie-Antoinette, and builds each motif around the pistil with rose-gold stamens. Harry Winston's 2010 line interlaces pavé petals around a marquise as if the lily were mid-bloom. Warm gold and a coloured stone in the Mellerio piece, diamond on diamond in the Winston.
