Fine 18k gold wire wound into tight springy coils, gathered into strands that flex and drape against the wrist and throat like fabric.

Antifer

A band with one sharp peak, named after a Normandy cliff, repeated row on row until the ring becomes a ridge.

Antifer has an edge, a single point like the Normandy cliff it is named after, which Gaia Repossi drew in 2013 and repeats in rows of two to ten, plain or paved, in pink, white or black gold. Marrakech has none. Its strands of hand-coiled yellow gold wire give under the hand and settle wherever they fall, round the wrist or the throat, the chain-maker's softness Marco Bicego learned at home.
