Elsa Peretti Bone Cuff

A cuff modelled on the bones of the wrist, its edges rolled and its surface dipped, so the metal reads as anatomy rather than ornament.

Landscape shapes Antifer and anatomy shapes the Bone Cuff. Gaia Repossi named her 2013 ring after a cliff on the Normandy coast and gave it a single sharp peak, multiplied into rows until it rises like a ridge across the finger. Elsa Peretti began from the wrist itself in 1970, softening the cuff's edges and sinking its surface so the metal follows bone. Repossi's geometry owes much to minimalist architecture; Peretti's had a builder in it too, the Barcelona of Antoni Gaudí.
