Le Petit Cactus
The flower of the vanilla cactus, which opens for one night a year, made as a small burst of rose gold stamens around a single stone.
Frivole comes in bare, mirror-polished gold or with its heart-shaped petals paved in diamonds, a Van Cleef & Arpels collection since 2003 in which the gold often does the work of a stone. Le Petit Cactus, from Mellerio in 2019, swaps petals for stamens, a fine burst of rose gold around a single diamond or sapphire, after the vanilla cactus that flowers one night a year. Run a finger over each: Frivole is smooth as a mirror, the cactus flower all points.
