Frivole at Van Cleef & Arpels

The story

Heart-shaped petals turn up on Van Cleef & Arpels cigarette cases and clips from the 1940s. In 2003 the house built a collection on them, scattering the blossoms in loose, asymmetric clusters and finishing each petal by hand with the mirror polish it has used since the 1920s; diamond centres, pavé petals and a Between the Finger ring followed.
