Berbère

Parallel rows of gold joined into a single ring, so one piece looks like a stack of bands.

Pomellato's first band ring, made in 1970, is the ancestor of Iconica, reshaped for the house's fiftieth year in 2017 into something plumper and softer. Berbère began after Gaia Repossi took charge of design at the house her family founded and fused thin rows of gold into a single ring. Iconica's edges are pillowy; Berbère's lines are crisp and spare, and in 2021 they were reworked with the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation. Both are made chiefly in rose gold, and both answer the wish to stack.
