Berbère at Repossi

The story

Berbère is the line that made Gaia Repossi's name after she took over her family house's creative direction in 2007. It fuses one, two, three or more rows of gold, plain or paved, into rings, ear cuffs and hoops, a nod in its name to Berber jewellery and in its lines to modern art. It has since been lacquered in colour as Berbère Chromatic and reworked for a 2021 capsule with the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation.

    Allegra, de Grisogono (2003)

Berbère takes up the single ring that reads as several and lines its rows up straight, plain or paved.

  • Antifer four-row ring in pink gold, each row rising to a point, on a light grey ground.

    Antifer, Repossi (2013)

Antifer keeps Berbère's rows and gives each a single peak, so the ring rises into a ridge like the Normandy cliff it is named for.
