Elsa Peretti Bone Cuff

A cuff modelled on the bones of the wrist, its edges rolled and its surface dipped, so the metal reads as anatomy rather than ornament.

Berbère repeats; the Bone Cuff happens once. Gaia Repossi fuses two, three or more parallel bands of gold into a single ring, a nod to Berber jewelry and to modern art, so one piece reads as a stack. Elsa Peretti's cuff of 1970 has only one form to offer and spends it entirely, rolling at the edges and dipping in the middle so the metal reads as a wrist bone. Repossi's ring is often worn in company on the hand; Peretti's cuff holds the wrist on its own.
