Jack de Boucheron

A supple gold cable closed by a faceted clasp shaped like an audio jack, wrapped once or three times round the wrist or opened out as a necklace or belt.

Two gold half-rings that hook into each other like handcuffs, so the clasp becomes the whole jewel.

Forty-three years and two very different machines lie between these clasps. Jean Dinh Van made Menottes in 1976, two gold half-rings that hook together like handcuffs and hang from a cord or a string of pearls. Claire Choisne found her clasp in the headphone lead: Jack de Boucheron, launched in 2019, is a pliant gold cable that plugs into a faceted clasp. Paris made both, and in both the fastening comes first.
