Macri

Yellow and white gold engraved with thousands of hair-fine parallel rigato lines that catch light like silk moiré, starred with diamonds set in tiny rosettes.

Berbère three-row ring in pink gold, three slim bands joined into one, on a light grey ground.

Berbère

Parallel rows of gold joined into a single ring, so one piece looks like a stack of bands.

On Macri the parallel lines are hair-fine, thousands of rigato strokes cut into yellow and white gold, with diamonds glinting among them in star-shaped settings. On Berbère each line is a band in its own right, two, three or more fused into a single ring by Gaia Repossi. The motif is the same at very different scales. In Macri the lines are texture. In Berbère they are structure, and they have since been lacquered in colour for Berbère Chromatic.
