The Buccellati emblem, a four-petalled rosette of winding lines, cut out and worn as the jewel itself: in engraved gold, in diamond pavé, or laid over a pierced tulle lattice.

Precious Lace

Diamonds set in scalloped gold openwork that reads like antique lace, cut into tutu ruffles, waves and hearts.

Pierced gold that imitates fabric connects these two. Chopard's Precious Lace, shown in 2016, copies the scallops and volutes of antique lace in diamond-set openwork, then cuts it into tutu ruffles, waves and hearts. Buccellati reaches a similar texture by older means, the pierced tulle work for which the Milan house is known, here laid under Opera's rosette emblem, a line first presented in Paris in 2015 with engraved gold and coloured stones.
