Les Pétales Place Vendôme
Cupped rose petals of pavé diamonds drift against a round pearl, as if blown across the Place Vendôme.
Mother-of-pearl sits under some Opera rosettes; a whole pearl anchors Les Pétales Place Vendôme. Mikimoto, the house of the cultured pearl, sets cupped diamond petals beside an Akoya or South Sea pearl as if the wind had carried them across Paris. Buccellati's rosette, its emblem worn as the jewel since 2015, is a flatter, engraved surface in which nacre is a ground rather than a centre.
