Divas' Dream

A fan, taken from the ginkgo-leaf pattern in the floor mosaics of Rome's Baths of Caracalla, worn as a pendant, an earring or a ring.

Giardino

A four-petalled flower in openwork gold with a lace edge, set with one stone at its heart, taken from the gardens of Isola Madre on Lake Maggiore.

Stones stand in for things seen in both. On Giardino, Laure-Isabelle Mellerio uses pink sapphires, rubies and tsavorites for the flowers of Isola Madre and a few blue sapphires for Lake Maggiore, set at the heart of an openwork, lace-edged four-petal flower. On Divas' Dream, Bulgari's stones play tesserae, pink sapphires shading across a fan copied from the ginkgo pattern in the mosaics of the Baths of Caracalla, a line launched in 2016.
