Parentesi
Parentesi
A bracket-shaped gold link, repeated and locked into necklaces and bracelets like the joints between Roman paving stones.
Granelli
Small gold grains with dimpled surfaces, threaded side by side so a bracelet reads as a line of Mauritian sand.
Parentesi was the Roman house's first modular jewelry: in 1982 Gianni Bulgari repeated a bracket-shaped link and locked it together like the joints of ancient paving. Granelli, born with DoDo in 1994, breaks the module down further, into single dimpled grains modelled on Mauritian sand and threaded onto a cord one at a time, so a bracelet can grow for years. Rome builds a pavement. Milan gathers a beach, grain by grain.
