Precious Lace

Diamonds set in scalloped gold openwork that reads like antique lace, cut into tutu ruffles, waves and hearts.

Le Petit Cactus

The flower of the vanilla cactus, which opens for one night a year, made as a small burst of rose gold stamens around a single stone.

Lightness is all a cactus flower and a tutu share. Le Petit Cactus, drawn by Laure-Isabelle Mellerio in 2019, is a spray of rose-gold stamens around one stone, after the vanilla cactus that blooms a single night a year and that Redouté painted for Marie-Antoinette. Precious Lace, Chopard's 2016 high-jewelry idea, ruffles scalloped gold openwork set with diamonds into skirts and waves. Mellerio's blossom is small enough to scatter along a fine chain, whereas Chopard's lace was conceived first as whole parures.
