Chopard

Precious Lace

Diamonds set in scalloped gold openwork that reads like antique lace, cut into tutu ruffles, waves and hearts.

Calla

Vhernier

Calla

One smooth cone, furled like a calla lily, hung alone on a necklace whose clasp disappears.

Scallops, volutes and swirls give Precious Lace its texture, the vocabulary of old lace pierced into rose or white gold and set with diamonds, first as Chopard high jewelry in 2016, then as a tutu, waves and hearts. Calla has almost no texture. Vhernier polishes its single furled cone smooth, or cuts it from ebony, and has let the form alone suggest the lily since 1998.
