Belle Époque

Round diamonds alternating with rubies, sapphires or emeralds round a band, like frames on a reel of film running past.

Sculpted Cable bracelet in 18k yellow gold, 14 mm: the cable twist rendered as a row of polished gold waves, on a white ground.

Sculpted Cable

The cable's round twist pressed into low relief, so the helix becomes a row of polished gold waves laid side by side.

Each sets a beat round the band. In Belle Époque the beat is chromatic, a diamond, then a ruby or sapphire or emerald, then a diamond again, like frames passing on a reel. In Sculpted Cable it is sculptural, polished waves of gold laid side by side, David Yurman's 2023 relief of his 1982 helix. Damiani's rhythm is about colour; Yurman's is about light moving across volume.
