Antifer

A band with one sharp peak, named after a Normandy cliff, repeated row on row until the ring becomes a ridge.

Gold leads in Antifer and follows in Belle Époque. Gaia Repossi's 2013 ring is a sequence of sharp gold peaks, paved only in some versions, studded with hard stones in others. Damiani's band is mostly stone, round diamonds and coloured gems taking turns round the finger like frames of film. Repossi took her cue from a cliff and from minimalist architecture, Damiani from 1920s Paris and its screen idols, by way of Enrico Grassi Damiani's sketchbook.
