Laurence Graff Signature

The facets of a cut diamond carried over into solid gold: bands, cuffs and chains whose surfaces break into sharp planes like a polished stone.

Africa

Slightly lopsided beads of 18k yellow gold, each scored by hand with a burin into thousands of fine lines, strung in graduated rows so the satin surface glows rather than shines.

A diamond cutter's eye shaped Laurence Graff Signature: the London house carves the planes of a cut stone into solid gold first, setting diamonds only once the metal is finished, and calls the result its first unisex diamond collection. Marco Bicego's eye is an engraver's. On Africa he leaves the gold rounded and a little irregular, then covers it with fine burin lines, so that where Graff's planes flash, his beads glow.
