Laurence Graff Signature

The facets of a cut diamond carried over into solid gold: bands, cuffs and chains whose surfaces break into sharp planes like a polished stone.

Trained as a direct-welding sculptor, David Yurman found Cable in 1982 by giving a twist to a wire bracelet. Laurence Graff Signature comes from another discipline, the house's decades of cutting stones, translated into gold bands and cuffs that break into flat, sharp planes, carved before any diamond is set. Graff's surfaces are angular and mirror-bright; Yurman's are round in section, catching light along every turn. Graff calls its line unisex. Cable, in silver with gold, became a New York house's constant motif.
