Africa

Slightly lopsided beads of 18k yellow gold, each scored by hand with a burin into thousands of fine lines, strung in graduated rows so the satin surface glows rather than shines.

Fantina bangle: an open rose-gold loop with a pavé-set inner edge and a diamond-tipped end, on a pale grey ground.

Fantina

Seamless open ellipses of rose or white gold, edged with pavé and tapering to points, drawn from the clean lines of the riding world.

Fantina hides everything that might interrupt its line: Pomellato's open ellipses of rose or white gold, edged with pavé and tapering to points, conceal every clasp and hinge, so a bangle reads as one poured stroke. The name, Italian for a woman jockey, returns to the dappled horse in the house's own name. Africa interrupts its surface on purpose, scoring each yellow-gold bead with fine burin lines and keeping the beads slightly irregular, marks of the hand.
