Ice Cube

A band divided into small gold cubes with chamfered edges, so light breaks across it like ice.

Marrakech

Marco Bicego

Marrakech

Fine 18k gold wire wound into tight springy coils, gathered into strands that flex and drape against the wrist and throat like fabric.

Rigid little blocks make Ice Cube, a stacking band Chopard introduced in 1999 as deliberately graphic and androgynous, its cubes separated by machine-cut grooves and finished by hand. Marrakech has no fixed shape at all. Its strands of hand-coiled yellow gold wire, a technique Marco Bicego learned in his father's chain workshop, bend with the wrist and lie on the throat like a length of cloth.
