Pi at dinh van

The story

In 1991, when France allowed 9-carat gold to be imported, Jean Dinh Van went the other way and chose 999 gold. The Pi takes its form from ancient Chinese art, where the disc stands for the sky. Each piece is hammered by hand, which marks the surface and hardens the soft metal.
