Quatre

Four bands, each carrying one archive motif (grosgrain ribbing, a line of diamonds, Clou de Paris facets, a double gadroon) pressed together into a single ring.

Sculpted Cable

The cable's round twist pressed into low relief, so the helix becomes a row of polished gold waves laid side by side.

Solange Azagury-Partridge, creative director at Boucheron from 2001 to 2004, made Quatre by combining four of the house's existing motifs. David Yurman, nineteen years later, made Sculpted Cable by reworking just one, his 1982 helix, pressed into low relief so the twist becomes a row of gold waves. Quatre is varied and dense, its seams visible; Sculpted Cable is uniform, its rhythm uninterrupted from end to end.
