Antifer

A band with one sharp peak, named after a Normandy cliff, repeated row on row until the ring becomes a ridge.

Quatre came from Boucheron in 2004, under Solange Azagury-Partridge: four archive bands pressed together into a ring of real heft. Nine years later, also in Paris, Antifer came from Repossi, Gaia Repossi's single sharp peak multiplied into rows, its clean geometry borrowed from minimalist architecture. Quatre changes texture band by band. Antifer repeats one profile until the repetition becomes the design, and later reached the ear as cuffs and hoops.
