Hundreds of tiny rings, each coiled by hand from twisted gold thread and linked like the flowers of a lei, so a necklace moves like knitted cord.

Tiffany HardWear

A chain of oversized gauge links, each joined by a polished gold ball, takes the look of industrial hardware and wears it at the throat and wrist.

Tiny and enormous, handmade and machine-like. Hawaii, the necklace Mario Buccellati drew from the flower garlands of the islands in the 1930s, is built from hundreds of small rings of twisted gold thread, linked by hand. Tiffany HardWear, launched in 2017 from a bracelet in the house archive, works the other way, with a few oversized gauge links fastened by polished gold balls. Both hang at the throat, and almost nothing else about them is shared.
