Skinny

A rivière of diamonds made elastic: tiny springs between the settings let the line twist, stretch over the hand and close back round the wrist.

Tiffany HardWear

A chain of oversized gauge links, each joined by a polished gold ball, takes the look of industrial hardware and wears it at the throat and wrist.

One chain hides its mechanics and the other shows them off. Tiffany HardWear, launched in 2017, puts industrial hardware on view: oversized gauge links joined by polished gold balls, sized up for necklaces and wrap bracelets and later set with pavé. Messika's Skinny, from 2009, conceals tiny springs between its diamond settings so that a continuous rivière can stretch over the hand and close back round the wrist. New York rawness meets a Paris rivière made pliable.
