Solitaire 1895

One stone raised on four claws above a plain band, the house's barest answer to the engagement ring.

Piaget Solstice

Cocktail rings built like drinks: a large coloured centre stone dressed with gem garnish that opens away so the stone can be worn alone.

Geneva's answer to the single stone is festive. Piaget presented Solstice in 2022 as a high jewelry night out, cocktail rings whose centre gems are dressed with garnish, pink sapphire grenadine, emerald mint, peridot lime, that opens away to leave the stone alone. Cartier's Solitaire 1895 starts where Solstice ends, with one stone on four claws and nothing to take off. The Piaget ring can become a solitaire; the Cartier ring has never been anything else.
