Ice Cube

A band divided into small gold cubes with chamfered edges, so light breaks across it like ice.

Laurence Graff Signature

The facets of a cut diamond carried over into solid gold: bands, cuffs and chains whose surfaces break into sharp planes like a polished stone.

Chopard named its band after ice; Graff modelled its gold on diamond. Ice Cube, from 1999, cuts a band into small gold blocks whose chamfered corners catch light like cubes in a glass. Laurence Graff Signature carves gold into the planes of a polished stone, finishing the metal before any diamond goes in. Chopard's grid is regular and made to stack in rows. Graff's planes are broader and sharper, and some of its rings spin on the finger.
