The story
Chopard launched Ice Cube in 1999 as an assembly of small square blocks inspired by ice cubes, deliberately graphic and androgynous. The house says it took nearly ten years to perfect the diamond-tipped tools that cut the grooves between the cubes, whose corners are then chamfered by hand. It now runs from plain stacking bands in three golds to pavé versions and HyCeram ceramic pieces.

Graff also cuts gold into facets, carving it like one of its own diamonds before a single stone is set.
