Mimosa

The mimosa, a shrub that flowers whatever the weather, made into a diamond flower and dedicated to women.

Giardino

A four-petalled flower in openwork gold with a lace edge, set with one stone at its heart, taken from the gardens of Isola Madre on Lake Maggiore.

White gold and diamonds for Damiani, rose gold and coloured stones for Mellerio. Mimosa is Damiano Grassi Damiani's dedication to his wife and daughter, later widened to all women, a shrub chosen because it flowers in any weather. Giardino comes from the half-wild island garden of Isola Madre on Lake Maggiore, an openwork four-petalled flower with a lace edge, its pink sapphires and tsavorites standing for the flowers. Both houses keep an Italian thread running through their histories.
