Mellerio Cut

A diamond cut of the house's own, a softened oval that carries the memory of the Beau Sancy, worn alone inside a fine halo of pavé.

Rounded corners on one stone, a softened oval on the other. Albion's is a cushion, in coloured stones from blue topaz to turquoise, held in a slim bezel with the David Yurman cable on the shank. The Mellerio Cut is an oval within an ellipse, cut by the Paris house as its own and traced to the Beau Sancy, a diamond favoured by Marie de Médicis. Yurman uses the soft outline for colour, and Mellerio keeps it for diamonds in a pavé halo.
