Allegra

Thin rings spiralled together so they look randomly stacked: one jewel that reads as many, wound around each other.

Elsa Peretti Bone Cuff

A cuff modelled on the bones of the wrist, its edges rolled and its surface dipped, so the metal reads as anatomy rather than ornament.

Allegra was named for a child, and the Bone Cuff was shaped by a childhood memory. Fawaz Gruosi gave his first-born daughter's name to de Grisogono's 2003 line of thin rings spiralled together, meant to evoke the bond between two people. Elsa Peretti drew on the bones she had seen as a girl in the Capuchin Crypt in Rome for the cuff she sketched in 1970. Allegra multiplies itself into a seeming stack. The cuff stays singular, a broad shape lying over the wrist.
