Chopard

Ice Cube

A band divided into small gold cubes with chamfered edges, so light breaks across it like ice.

Allegra

de Grisogono

Allegra

Thin rings spiralled together so they look randomly stacked: one jewel that reads as many, wound around each other.

Geneva produced both, four years apart. Chopard's Ice Cube of 1999 divides a band into chamfered gold cubes and offers it as thin rings to stack. De Grisogono's Allegra of 2003 does the stacking in advance, spiralling slender rings together so a single piece looks like several. Ice Cube is graphic and androgynous by design; Allegra's tangle is deliberately casual, as if several rings had been slipped on in a hurry. Chopard still makes its cubes, while de Grisogono has had no storefront since 2020.
