Force 10

A length of braided steel marine cable closed by a gold shackle, named after a storm on the Beaufort scale.

Tiffany Lock

A bangle drawn as the elongated shackle of a padlock, whose clasp swivels and clicks shut like the lock it imitates.

Both are built around a shackle, the U-shaped bar that closes a padlock or joins a line of rigging. Tiffany Lock, introduced in August 2022, stretches it into a bangle whose clasp swivels and clicks shut, and traces its motif to a gold padlock brooch the house made for a couple in 1883. Force 10 uses the sailor's version, a gold shackle clipped onto steel marine cable, which Henri Samuel first made in 1966. Love tokens stand behind the New York piece; a storm names the Paris one.
