Two slim lines of gold cross the finger like an Amazon's arrow and spear and meet at an oval diamond held in a pavé halo, the shield.

The Tiffany Setting

Six slender prongs lift a round brilliant diamond clear of the band, so the stone, not the mount, carries the ring.

The Amazons of Greek legend gave Valérie Messika her drawing for Glam'Azone: two slim lines of gold cross the finger like an arrow and a spear and meet at an oval diamond in a pavé halo, the shield. Its fame dates to October 2014, when Beyoncé posted a photograph from the Louvre with the ring on her hand. The Tiffany Setting tells no story beyond its structure, six prongs of 1886 that raised the engagement diamond and fixed the outline still drawn today.
