Ice Cube

A band divided into small gold cubes with chamfered edges, so light breaks across it like ice.

Antifer

A band with one sharp peak, named after a Normandy cliff, repeated row on row until the ring becomes a ridge.

Rows multiply on both, but the profiles disagree. Antifer climbs to a single point per row, Gaia Repossi's 2013 echo of a Normandy cliff, and can be worn in two, four, eight or ten rows on one finger. Ice Cube lies flat, Chopard's band of small square blocks from 1999, and gains height only when separate rings are stacked. Repossi's peaks stay sharp; Chopard's corners are softened by hand. Both keep to a cool, spare geometry.
