Piaget Solstice

Cocktail rings built like drinks: a large coloured centre stone dressed with gem garnish that opens away so the stone can be worn alone.

Albion, by David Yurman, holds a soft cushion of blue topaz, amethyst, citrine or turquoise in a slim bezel, often ringed with pavé, on a shank split by the house cable, in silver or yellow gold. Piaget's Solstice, a high jewelry story from 2022, dresses its large coloured centre stone with garnish, pink sapphires, emeralds and carved peridot, that opens away to leave the gem alone. Colour is at the centre of each. Yurman frames it; Piaget throws a party round it.
