Tulle at Buccellati

The story

Mario Buccellati developed tulle openwork in the 1920s from the floral needle-lace of Venice. A goldsmith can spend close to a month sawing the cells into a single plate before an engraver finishes it. The lattice still carries the house's eternelle bands, such as Tulle Ghirlanda and Nuovo Tulle, and the ground behind Opera Tulle.
