Tubogas at Bulgari

The story

Bulgari made its first Tubogas bracelet in 1941, building a supple coil named after the flexible tubing of gas pipes. The same coil carried the first Serpenti watches in 1948 and framed Monete coins on chokers, one of them owned by Frank and Barbara Sinatra. For the house's 140th anniversary in 2024 it returned as Bvlgari Tubogas, in heavy yellow gold, plain or set with diamonds.

    Serpenti, Bulgari (1948)

The first Serpenti bracelet-watch was wound on a Tubogas coil, so the serpent's body began as a spring of gold.

  • Monete

    Monete, Bulgari

Bulgari hung its ancient coins on Tubogas chokers, the worn bronze of Rome set against a coil of polished gold.
